Charge Port Covers are available on our website: Click here to visit the Serial 1 parts store.
Overview: Our charging port covers are a rubber material that is molded to perfectly fit the charge port to keep out dirt and other debris. To perfectly fit the charging cover on the bike, please make sure the rubber circular plug is properly installed around the inside of the port first (see picture 1). At the same time, make sure the insert on the cover is pushed into the bike port and is not pinching (see picture 2). Lastly, make sure ALL rubber tabs are inserted correctly around the port and are pushed into the charge port correctly (see picture 3). If done properly, the cover should be flush with the frame of the bike. If the charging cover is not properly inserted before each ride of the bike, then it is susceptible to being pedaled off the bike. (See pictures 4-7 on correct and incorrect cover installations)
Please see pictures below for correct and incorrect inserts.
To insert the new charge port cover into the motor cover housing, we recommend the following steps:
- Remove the bike battery.
- Turn the front wheel slightly to allow access to the front of the motor area.
- Unscrew and remove the three (3) Torx-25 bolts and washers on the front of the motor cover pieces.

4. Lightly pop apart the three motor cover pieces, which are simply fitted together. Do not try to fully-remove them, as they are still attached at the rear of the motor covers.
5. You should now be able to slide the new charge port cover's "wing" into the charge port space on the left motor cover.
6. Reassemble, fitting the covers back together until they "click" and torquing the bolts to 2 Nm (lightly hand tightened).
