Adding a Phone Mount onto your eBike

Overview:

This document will allow customers and dealers to identify which phone mounts are recommended and functional to add to your Serial 1 eBikes.

Adding a phone mount accessory to your Serial 1 eBike is a great way to safely ride your bike while still maintaining easy access to your smart phone device.  There are many different phone mounts that will function for Serial 1 bicycles.

1. Quad Lock Case and Mount:  Serial 1 has partnered with Quad Lock USA to provide our recommended phone mount for all Serial 1 eBikes.  This phone mount will require the use of a Quad Lock Case as well as the Quad Lock Mount Device Kit.  This kit will have three needed items to fully install the phone mount and phone to the bike.  (The three needed items are listed individually below)

      • Quad Lock 360 Base - Bar Clamp

2. Other Phone Mounts:  The use of other phone mounts may also work as an alternative option for a phone mount.  The list below are recommendations and options to keep in mind while choosing a phone mount.

• • • • Do NOT add any phone mount that requires internal access to the handlebars.  Accessories added to the inside of the handlebars or the frame will void your warranty and may cause  damage critical to certain functionalities of the bike.
      • Serial 1 Handlebar have a standard 31.8mm clamp diameter near the center of the handlebar (where most phone mounts are recommended to be placed).  Additional Geometry Measurements can be found on our Geometry Measurements Article.
        • **Note that the bar tapers down from 31.8mm near the center of the handlebar down to 22mm at the grips.
